Nitte Engineering College (Nitte Education Trust), Nitte

NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte was established in 1986 in memory of Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya, a distinguished engineer of the district. The college is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum and is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. It is accredited by the National Board for Accreditation (NBA). NMAMIT has been certified to the ISO 9001-2000 standards for quality education by KEMA, Netherlands.

The Institute offers graduate programs in 7 branches of Engineering - Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Information Science Engineering, Bio-Technology and Mechanical Engineering. The college also offers post graduate programs like, Master of Computer Applications, Master of Business Administration and Master of Technology. The Visvesvaraya Technological University has opened a post graduate extention centre at NMAMIT, offering M.Tech in Micro-Electronics & Control Systems. Besides these, students can also pursue their M.Sc in Engineering and Doctoral Programs at the Institute.
