Recognising the growing need and awareness for rehabilitation medicine in the field of health care, the Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy was established in 1997. The college is approved by the Government of Karnataka and is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. The institution is recognised by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP).


Located at the Medical Sciences Complex at Deralakatte, Mangalore, the Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy offers a bachelor"s degree in Physiotherapy (B.PT) and a masters degree in Physiotherapy (M.PT). The college offers excellent facilities for practical training at the sophisticated multispeciality Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital.
